Hello, welcome to Ushaupchar
I am Usha, From Mysore, Being the eldest daughter I always took responsibility as a homemaker and I loved doing it. I got married in a traditional family of food lovers, at the age of 19 yrs and hardly knew cooking at this age. But after my marriage, it gave me a new turn. It made me attempt different recipes from traditional South to North Indian, Chinese to continental foods. My husband and in-laws were very supportive always encouraged me to learn and try new dishes/recipes.
The portal was launched in Nov 2014 with a lot of encouragement, love, and support of my husband, son, and daughter. Special thanks to Mrs. Charu for encouraging and guiding me to open this website. I also acknowledge the guidance, cooking skills shared by my mom-in-law, mom, family, and friends.
As my husband has a transferable job, I learned many local recipes and presently I am residing in Mangaluru. In Mangaluru I met my friend Mrs. Charulata Rao, who becomes a close friend of mine and she is a food blogger (www.charuscuisine.com), whenever we discussed the food preparation, she expressed that you are good at cooking. She insisted and encouraged me to commence this blog. Hence I am thankful to her from the bottom of my heart.
Through my blog UshaUpachar, I have attempted to showcase a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian recipes. All the recipes are tried and tested in my kitchen. To make cooking easy to understand, I have added many images to the portal at different stages when recipes are cooked. My recipes are very simple and easy to cook. I am sure you will try out and like them.
