Alu pumpkin curry is a simple and easy side dish for chapati/roti, a healthy and tasty side dish which can be prepared in a short time, which taste awesome with chapati/roti’s, A south Indian easy curry. Just give try and enjoy as a side dish.

Serves – 4
Sweet Pumpkin – 1 cup ( chopped into small pieces)
Potato – 1 cup ( chopped into small pieces)
Onion – 2 nos ( chopped)
Green chilies – 2 to 3 (chopped)
Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup ( chopped)
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry – 4 tsp
Heat oil in a pressure cooker pan, when oil is hot add mustard seeds when it starts to sparkle add channa dal saute till it is golden brown, add green chilies, curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves saute for a while.
Add chopped onions fry till it turns to translucent then add chopped pumpkin and potatoes mix altogether, add turmeric powder, salt to taste.
Add little water and pressure cook for a whistle. When cooker becomes cool, boil the curry to a thick gravy and serve hot with chapati etc., (if you like to have more tasty add grated coconut in the end).
