Fresh carrot – 2 no’s peeled and chopped
Apple – 1 peel and cut into medium pieces
Almond – 12 no’s
Milk – 500 ml boiled and cooled
Sugar – 1/2 cup (adjust to your taste)
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Chopped Pistachio, almond for garnishing
Soak almond in warm milk for 15 min, remove the skin of it and keep ready.
Rinse apple peel the skin of it, cut and remove the seeds in it, peel carrot cut it medium pieces,
Take a pressure cooker pan, boil 2 cup of water in it for 5 to 6 minutes, remove it/waste it. ( to prevent milk from curdling while you cook)
Add carrot, apple almond in a container add 1/2 cup of milk, place it in a pressure cooker pan (add water to the base) cook it for 1 whistle. when it is done, allow it to cool, blend it to a smooth paste
Boil milk by adding sugar, when sugar dissolves completely with the milk, add blended paste into it, stir, combine as there is no lumps in it, stir.
Cook in a medium flame, boil it for 3 to 5 min, add cardamom powder, stir. Remove from the flame.
Transfer it to a serving bowl, garnish it with almond and pistachio,
Enjoy hot or chilled.
You can fry dry fruits in little ghee, or you can add chopped raw nuts.
You can also steam carrot and apple until it is done, then blend it to a smooth paste by adding milk .
