Beetroot Lemonade

Beetroot lemonade is a healthy refreshing drink, made with fresh beetroot, lemon and sugar.  A quick healthy drink which can be made in a short time. Beets are packed with lots of essential nutrients, Beets are a great source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and dietary fiber. Beetroots are rich in vitamin C, beetroot juice is considered to be effective natural remedies for improving blood flow, to reduce blood sugar, detoxifies the liver, treats for iron deficiency, good for skin, helps in preventing cancer,  Beetroot juice is known for helping with digestive problems and improve metabolism. Those strong digestive effects of beetroots make them a great natural cure for constipation.

Ingredients:

Beetroot – 1 medium, peeled and chopped/grated

Lemon juice – 1 tbs

Water – 250 ml to 300 ml

Sugar – 3 tsp adjust to your taste

Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp

Salt 1 pinch

Mint leaves – few

Ice cubes

 

Method:

Add  chopped/ grated beetroot in a blender,  blend it to a smooth puree, add sugar to your taste, add enough water to blend,

Strain the juice with a colander, (once again blend the extract with little water and strain)

Add freshly squeezed lemon juice to it, check the taste, add sugar, salt, and cardamom powder adjust to your taste. Stir.

Pour it to serving glass.

Garnish it with fresh mint leaves, add ice cubes and enjoy.
