This is a simple soft vanilla cake, which is prepared with all purpose flour, sugar, egg, vanilla extract and oil. It is a basic yellow cake for those who prefer oil other than butter for baking, where the cake comes out very soft and fluffy. An easy to bake recipe. Just give a try and enjoy for any time.
All purpose flour (Maida) – 1 1/4 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Egg – 2 no’s
Milk – 1/2 cup
Oil – 3/4 cup (preferably refined vegetable oil)
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp
- Preheat oven for 20 min.
- Grease the cake container with oil and set aside.
- Sieve the flour, baking powder together and keep ready.
- Add sugar into dry mixer jar, make a fine powder and keep ready.
Break eggs into a bowl, beat until fluffy.
Add powdered sugar into it,
Beat together until it gets thickened.
Now add flour, baking powder, milk, mix together as there is no lumps in it.
Add oil mix with the mixture, add vanilla extract mix altogether properly.
Pour the batter to the greased container.
Once you pour the batter to the container, tap the container gently, so that it settles evenly.
Place the container in preheated oven, bake it for 25 min at 180 degree cc.
Bake until the top layer is golden, and a toothpick poked into the center of the layer comes out clean.
Allow it to cool for 3 min, Loosen the sides of the cake from the pan with a thin knife, then turn out onto a rack to cool for 5 to 6 min.
