Garlic chicken curry is a simple and easy side dish, prepared with garlic, onion, tomato , capsicum and other Indian spices, a strong flavor of garlic makes a delicious and flavorful side dish, an easy to make recipe with simple ingredients to serve as a side dish for rice or roti’s.
Chicken – 750 gm (with bone)
Onion – 1 cup chopped
Tomato – 1/2 cup chopped
Capsicum – 1/2 cup chopped
Fresh Garlic paste/crushed – 2 tbs (adjust to your taste)
Green chili – 2 chopped
Pepper powder – 3/4 tsp (adjust to your taste)
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Coriander – 1 small bunch chopped
Lemon – 2 tsp
Oil to fry
Rinse chicken pieces for twice or trice in water, drain the water in it. Cook it by adding little turmeric powder, salt and water, drain the water, set aside and keep all the above ingredients ready.
Heat oil in a pan, when it is ready add chopped onion, green chilies saute until onion gets translucent. Add fresh Garlic paste into it,
Fry until the raw smell evaporates from it. Add all the dry powders together, saute for a while.
Add chopped tomato and capsicum fry for a minute
Add yogurt, bring it to boil to a thick in consistency.
Add /squeeze lemon juice into
Add cooked and drained chicken pieces into, toss it well.
Cover the lid of the pan, cook in a low flame for 5 min. Turn off the flame.
Garnish it with fresh coriander and Enjoy as a side dish for Biryani, or as a side dish for roti’s.
