Coriander coconut chutney recipe is a best healthy Indian chutney recipes to accompany rice or south Indian breakfasts like idli, dosa, pesarattu, pongal, paratha and chapati. Do try and enjoy as a side dish for rice dishes too 🙂
Preparation time – 10 min
Serves – 4
Coconut – 1 cup or small part of a coconut grated
Coriander – 1 big bunch
Cumin – 1/4 tsp
Green chilly – 2 no’s (to adjust your taste)
Tamarind – (optional) adjust to your taste
Salt to taste
To make or to prepare coriander chutney –
Add coconut, cumin, chilies and salt to taste in a mixer jar and grind it to a paste by adding water
Finally add fresh coriander (washed and rinsed) and grind it to a coarse mixture.
Coriander coconut chutney is ready, transfer it to a serving bowl
Enjoy as a side dish for any south Indian dishes.
You can add cumin or garlic for flavour to prepare coriander coconut chutney.
You can prepare chutney adding less water to grind which makes a thick chutney.
If you prefer seasoning the prepared chutney – heat 1/2 tsp of oil/ghee in a tadka pan, when it is hot add 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds allow it to splutter then add curry leaves and a pinch of powdered hing, remove it from the flame, add it to prepared chutney and mix .
