Egg chilly

Egg chilly is a yummy appetizer, a great side dish can be prepared in a short time. This dish is super quick and easy to make recipe, which turn out to be tangy, yummy, and delicious. Boiled egg slices are seasoned with onion, capsicum with soy sauce, chili sauce and other spices which makes a tasty dish to serve as an appetizer or as a side dish. 


Egg – 6 no’s boiled

Onion – 1 cup chopped

Capsicum – 1/2 cup chopped

Spring onion – 1/2 cup chopped

Chopped garlic or ginger garlic paste – 1/4 tsp

Garam masala powder – 1 pinch

Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp

Soy sauce – 1 tsp

Vinegar – 1/4 tsp

Red chilly paste – 1 tsp

Tomato sauce – 1 tbs (adjust to your taste)

Coriander – 1 small bunch chopped

Salt to taste

Oil to fry


Add eggs in a vessel add 1 tsp of salt and boil for 10 to 12 min. When it is done remove from the flame, add warm water, Remove the shell of each boiled eggs. Cut each egg into 4 pieces and keep ready all the above ingredients handy to start.

Heat a shallow pan by adding 2 to 3 tbs of oil in it, when it is hot add onion fry until it turns to golden brown in color, add ginger garlic paste, fry until raw smell evaporates from it, add capsicum and 1/2 part of chopped spring onion, fry for 2 min.


Add all sauces together, stir fry until oil separates from the edges of the pan,


Sprinkle garam masala powder, salt to taste, stir


Add egg into it, mix gently


Add pepper powder on it, toss it gently. Remove from the flame.


Garnish it with remaining spring onion and chopped coriander.



Tip –

You can add home made chilly paste in preparation, which can be prepared easily by soaking Kashmir chilies in hot water for 10 min, then blended into a fine paste, add chilly paste to adjust to your taste.
