Egg rice recipe

Egg rice is a flavorful, tasty rice dish, an easy to make recipe with simple ingredients, A great treat for egg lovers which can be prepared in a short time if you keep cooked rice ready, freshly crushed spices makes the dish aromatic and delicious.

Ingredients:

Rice – 2 cup (cooked by adding 4 cup of water)

Onion – 3 no’s chopped

Green chilies – 3 to 4 no’s chopped

Curry leaves – 2 springs

Coriander – small bunch chopped

Garlic – 6 to 7 pods (peeled)

Egg – 5 no’s

Salt to taste

Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Oil

Clove – 3 to 4 no’s

Cinnamon – 1 small

 

 

Method:

Rinse rice, add 4 cup of water to cook 2 cup of rice. Once done, Fluff the cooked rice and keep ready.

Crush/make a coarse paste( with out adding water) of garlic, cinnamon and cloves.

Heat a pan by adding oil in it, when it is hot add green chilies, curry leaves, saute for while, add coriander and chopped onion, fry until it turns to translucent.

Add crushed spices, fry until you get a nice aroma,

Add eggs, stir continuously, until egg gets crumbled, add little salt to taste,

Stir well

Add rice, mix

Add turmeric, pepper powder, salt to taste and chopped coriander, toss it well in a high flame. .

Transfer the dish to a serving dish

Aromatic Egg rice is ready to enjoy.

Note –

You can also add cooked green peas in preparation, cook green peas by adding salt to taste, once done drain the water in it, add it after frying onions, which makes the dish more tasty.
