Fried gram laddu is a very easy sweet recipe to make, It is a famous South Indian sweet, which is popularly known as hurigadale unde, which is made with just 5 ingredients. Fried gram laddu is a very quick and easy sweet recipe to make and it is very healthy especially for kids. You can try this quick and easy laddo for Navarathri and Diwali.
Preparation time – 10 min
Cooking time – 15 min
Makes – 15 medium size laddu’s
Fried gram – 1 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – 3/4 cup
Cashew nut – 3 tbs broken into small pieces
Raisins – 1 tbs
Cardamom – 4 no’s
To make or to prepare Fried gram laddu –
Add fried gram and cardmom (remove the skin of the cardamom) in a mixer jar and make a fine powder.
When it is done, Sieve the flour and set aside.
Make a fine powder of sugar and keep ready.
In a pan add a tsp of ghee and fry the cashews till golden brown, Set aside.
Heat a pan by adding 2 tsp of ghee in it. When it is hot add cashew nut and fry until it turn to light golden brown in colour, add raisins saute together. Remove it from the flame and set aside.
Add 2 tbs of ghee in the same pan, when it is hot add sieved gram flour into it and fry in a medium flame, till you get a nice aroma.
Add powdered sugar,
Add roasted nuts and combine altogether.
Remove from the flame,
Add remaining ghee and combine together. Mix well with a laddle so that ghee is evenly mixed.When its warm (hand bearable) start shaping them into laddus. Repeat this for the rest of the flour too.
