This is Dakishna Kannada district, mouth watering fish fry recipe, loved by people if all age groups. Being in coastal area, fish is the main source of food. This is the best tasty recipe for fish fry. You can use any type of fish for fry, here I have used Anjal (Seer) fish.
Servings-4 to 5
Marinating time – 2 to 3 hours.
Anjal (seer) fish – ½ kg sliced to pieces.
Oil to fry (preferably coconut oil)
Ingedients for preparation of Masala paste
Byadagi chilies – 30 nos
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Pepper – 1 tsp
Garlic – 3 cloves
Salt to taste
Step:-1 – Procedure to prepare masala paste
Add the above ingredients (except lemon) in to a mixer jar blend it to fine thick paste by adding water except lemon. Shift the grounded paste into a bowl and mix it with lemon juice.
Step :- 2 – Procedure for marinating fish
Apply the grounded paste (step-1) on both sides of the fish and allow it to marinate in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.
Step :- 3 -Procedure for coating fish
Sooji rava – 1 tbs
Rice flour – 1 tbs
Mix the above ingredients in a plate.
Step: – 4 – Procedure to fish tawa fry
Take a tawa apply oil on it leave it under a medium flame, take the marinated fish pieces dip in the the sooji rava mixture (step-3) and fry the fish by applying oil on both sides till the fish is cooked.
Seer (Anjal) fish fry is ready to be served.
