Methi or fenugreek seeds are rich reservoir of medicinal properties that imparts many health benefits. Menthya chutney or methi chutney is a tasty and healthy chutney recipe, which is a perfect combination for ragi rotti or ragi dosa’s. It is a quick and easy to make recipe, do try and enjoy with any south Indian breakfast dishes.
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Fenugreek – 1 tsp
Tamarind – a small piece
Dry red chilli – 1 or 2 no’s
Garlic – 1 or 2 pods
Salt to taste
Jaggery (optional) – a small piece (adjust to your taste)
Add coconut and all the other ingredients except jaggery, in a mixer jar
Blend it to a powder without adding water to it, when it is done add jaggery (optional) and water to blend, blend it to chutney
Season it with mustard seeds and curry leaves (optional)
Enjoy Menthya chutney with hot Instant ragi dosa’s or ragi rotti’s or it goes good with rice as well.
