This is one of a quick breakfast recipe.Methi parata are healthy alternative to plain paratha’s which is filled with rich flavorful and nutrition,these methi parata can be had plain with ghee/butter.They also make a good tiff in box snacks and stay soft when packed.

serves – 4
Whole wheat flour – 500 gm
Fennugreek leaves/methi leaves – 1 cup [finely chopped]
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1 tbs.
Ingredients to prepare paste :-
Onion – 1 medium size [cut into medium piece ]
Green chilly – 2 no’s
Garlic – 3 to 4 cloves
Ginger – 1 small piece
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste.
How to prepare methi parata
Take a mixer jar add all ingredints to prepare paste and grind to a fine paste and keep aside. Heat a kadai,add oil when oil becomes hot add cumin seeds when it starts to crackle add chopped methi leaves and fry till it becomes soft, untill you get a fresh aroma,add grounded paste and fry for 30 seconds. Add salt to taste.
Turn off the flame ,add water,add whole wheat flour and make a dough to prepare parata.
Make a medium size balls of the dough.Roll the dough round and cook the methi parata with some oil/ghee till they are brown in colour and flip to cook other side.
Serve methi parata hot with butter,ghee,pickle or chutney.
