Naan recipe or how to prepare naan

Naan can be made from either all purpose flour or whole wheat flour.The Naan made whole wheat flour is healthy but usually the Naan is made from all purpose flour.Naan can have further varieties like plain Naan, butter Naan,garlic naan,cheese naan.In India,bread is eaten more in north India

Here is a simple naan recipe.

Prepretion time-3 to 4 hours

Cooking time-5 to 10 min




Maida-500 gms

Milk -1cup


Butter-50 gms

Sugar -1tsp

Salt -1tsp

Procedure for making a dough:


Take a bowl add all the ingredients [butter 25 gms for kneading and 25 gms for greasing] by mix all together make a soft dough by adding a bit of water. Close the lid of the bowl or keep it in a wet cotton cloth for 3 hours.


Divide the dough into a small ball and roll into a circle shape or oval shape as desired.


Take a tawa grease butter {make a medium flame} on it and put the rolled naan ,apply butter on both side ,cook tillit reaches to golden brown in colour.


Soft and crispy naan is ready to serve.It taste good with any north Indian curries.
