Chocolate Swiss roll without baking










Swiss roll is one of a cooking without fire recipe, needs no baking. This Swiss rolls turned out so tasty and everyone loved it, It is an easy to make recipe, made with biscuits, desiccated coconut , coco powder, butter, a healthy alternative to junk snacks, a light, homemade Swiss roll. An easy kids recipe to prepare for birthday parties…:)

Preparation time – 15 min

Refrigeration time – 2 hours

Serves – 4

Ingredients –

swr1 - Copy-001

Parle G biscuits or Marie biscuits – 1  pack (100 gm)

Chocolate syrup – 2 tbs

Butter – 25 gm

Instant coffee powder – 1/2 tsp

Milk – 1 or 2 tbs (for kneading)

For stuffing –

Desiccated coconut powder – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 1/2 cup (powdered)

Vanilla extract – 1/4 tsp

Butter paper sheet or aluminium foil sheet to roll and pack

Method –

To make or to prepare No bake Swiss rolls –

Make biscuit powder in a mixer jar and set aside.

Add chocolate syrup, butter, instant coffee powder into it, combine. knead it to a dough add 1 tbs of milk and knead to a dough.

The dough should be easy to roll , neither very soft nor too hard to get cracked while rolling.

Mix coconut and sugar, add vanilla essence/extract, Toss it well and set aside for stuffing.

Now grease a butter paper sheet/ aluminum foil and roll the chocolate dough in thin rectangular shape.

Spread the stuffing on it evenly and

press firmly then roll it in tight log shape .

Chill it in refrigerator (place it in freezer) for 2 hours

After refrigeration remove it from the wrap

Then cut it in 1/2 inch thick slices and enjoy.

Note –

You can use any dry fruit or biscuit of your choice. Instead of Hershey’s syrup you can use cocoa powder.
You can add powdered almonds, cashews mix with coconut and sugar for stuffing to make more nutritious Swiss rolls.
No need to add sugar to prepare dough as biscuits are sweet in taste.
