Onion tomato salad or tomato onion raitha

In kannada it is popularly known as’ Moosaru Bajji’ or ‘Erulli bajji’. Salad recipes are delicious and healthy. Different ingredients and seasoning gives varieties of tasty salad. It is a side dish for rice items like pulao, biryani and other spicy rice recipes.

Preparation time – 5 to 8 min

Cooking time – 1 to 2 min for seasoning

Serves – 3 to 4

Ingredients :

Onion – 1 cup

Tomato – 1 cup

Curd – 1 cup

Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup (finely chopped)

Mustard seeds  – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves  –  5 to 8 leaves

Salt to taste

Oil – 1/2 tsp

Method:

Mix onion, tomato, curd, coriander leaves(finely chopped) in a bowl add salt to taste, mix all together.

For seasoning:-

Add 1/2 tsp of oil to a pan heat it, add mustard seeds to it, when it sparkle add curry leaves. Then add all the above mixtures.

Salad is ready to be served.
