Pepper Rice is a quick and easy to make rice variety. Pepper and garlic flavored south Indian popular rice made with cooked rice, A healthy and tasty rice dish is good during cold winters, the best remedy to get relief from cold/ sour throat .
Cooked Rice – 2 cup
Mustard – 1/2 Tsp
Cashew nut – 2 tbs
Chana Dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 Tsp
Green Chili – 3 or 4 chopped
Garlic – 8 or 10 pods peeled and crushed
Curry leaves – 2 springs
Onion – 2 or 3 medium chopped
Pepper powder – 1 1/2 tbs Adjust to your taste
Coriander – 1 bunch chopped
Salt to taste
Oil and ghee to fry
Keep all the above ingredients ready. Heat an oil and ghee in a pan, when it is hot add mustard when it begins to splutter add Chana Dal, urad dal fry until it turns to light brown, then add cashew nuts, fry until light brown on a medium flame take care not to burn any ingredients. Now add curry leaves, chilies, crushed garlic saute until you get a nice aroma.
Add chopped onion fry until light brown

Add salt and pepper powder tosses it well until it coats evenly to the rice.
Add chopped coriander, mix well
