Rava dosa is a popular south Indian dosa variety. One of the best breakfast dish quick and tasty  with less ingredients. The best part of making Rava dosa is that it does not require any fermentation, it is an instant dosa which is very easy to make, healthy and crispy.

Prepration time – 15 min

Cooking time – 15 min

Servs – 4 to 5



Chiroti rava – 2 cup

Maida – 1 cup

Rice flour – 1/4 cup

Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

Coriander leaves – 3 to 4 tbs chopped finely

Salt to taste.

How to prepare rava dosa 


Take a bowl , mix all the ingredients.


Add little by little water and make a thin batter, easy to flow so that the consistency


Rest the batter for 10 min.


Heat a flat tawa, spread oil and grease the pan with oil



Take a ladle pour the batter from the edges towards the center. Sprinkle 1 tsp of oil/ghee from top.


Let the base of the dosa become golden, crisp. Flip and cook on the other side. When both side are cooked, remove it from the pan. Follow the same for the rest of the batter.


Serve hot with chutney, potato sabzi or sambar. Rava dosa with coconut chutney is the always a best combination.
