Raw banana fry

Raw banana fry is a quick and easy side dish for rice or roti’s, a tasty and simple curry which can be prepared in a short time. Raw banana is a yummy vegetable which tastes divine in preparation of any curry. Just try and enjoy as a side dish for roti or rice. 

Ingredients:

Raw banana – 1 medium

Onion – 1 medium chopped

Cumin – 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves – 4 – 5 leaves (optional)

Green chili paste or green chili – 1/4 tsp

Garlic paste or crushed – 1/4 tsp

Turmeric – less than 1/4 tsp

Coriander – 1 small bunch chopped

Salt to taste

Oi to fry

 

Method:

Peel the skin of raw banana, slice it into round shape thin pieces , immerse in water immediately, add turmeric powder and set aside for 10 min

Keep all the other ingredients handy to start. Heat a pan by adding oil in it, when it is hot add cumin, allow it to splutter in oil, add chopped onion fry until it turns to translucent, then add garlic paste and green chili paste fry until the raw smell evaporates from it.

Then add vegges in to it, fry for 2 to 3 min, add salt to taste

Toss it well, sprinkle little water (1/4 cup) to cook and cook it in a medium low flame until it is done, close the lid to cook it. (take care while adding water add required water to cook it)

It takes 5 min to be dome, ensure the veggis are soft and done (the water in the veggies mus absorb completely) switch off the flame. Add chopped coriander toss it well
