Raw mango chutney recipe

Raw mango chutney is an easy and tasty chutney which goes well with idli, dosa and also it can be served steamed rice. It is tangy tasty and tongue tickling, prepared with green mango, grated coconut, can be prepared in a short time.

Ingredients:

Coconut – 1 cup grated

Raw mango – 1/2 cup roughly chopped

Green chilies – 2 -3 no’s

Jaggery – 1 – 2 tbs (adjust to your taste)

Salt to taste

For seasoning –

Oil – 1/2 tsp

Mustard – 1/4 tsp

Asafoetida – 1 or 2 pinch (powdered)

Curry leaves – 2 springs

 

Method:

To make or to prepare raw mango chutney –

Rinse raw mango, wipe it and cut into medium pieces, grate coconut, take a mixer jar add coconut, raw mango, green chilies, jaggery and salt, grind altogether to a paste by adding water.

Transfer prepared chutney to a bowl, Heat oil in a tadka pan, when it is hot sizzle mustard seeds, add asafoetida, curry leaves remove it from the flame, add it to prepared chutney.

Combine with chutney properly and Enjoy it with any south Indian breakfast and also enjoy it with rice.

Note –

Always prefer green sour mango, if it is sweet in taste skip adding jaggery.

For flavor you may add garlic or a small piece of ginger while grinding chutney.
