Sabudana Dosa recipe/Sabakki Dose/Sago Dosa

Sabudana dosa is a crispy soft tasty dosa, a comfort, and an ideal breakfast dish. Sago dosa is very similar in texture and taste as compared to the traditional or rice and urad dal based dosa. Sure give it a try and enjoy as a healthy breakfast.


Dosa rice – 1 1/2 cup

Sabudana – 1/2 cup

Urad dal – 1/4 cup

Methi – 1/2 Tsp


Soak rice, sabudana, methi and urad dal for 3 to 4 hours.


drain off the water from sabudana and blend to smooth paste also blend soaked urad dal and rice to a fine paste adding water as required.


further mix sabudana batter, rice-urad dal batter, ferment in a warm place for 8- 12 hours.

next day, add 1 tsp of salt or as required and mix well.


heat the griddle and pour a ladleful of the batter on it and spread it very gently similar to set dosa/regular thin dosa of your choice.


sprinkle some ghee/oil for more flavor. cook till the top of dosa is cooked completely in presence of steam.


Serve Sabudana dosa recipe immediately with your favorite chutney, aloo bhaji, and sambar.
